The University of Lisbon’s Department of Civil Engineering has once again asserted its excellence internationally, securing top positions in several prestigious global and European rankings for 2023.

In the “Global Ranking of Academic Subjects—Shanghai,” the University of Lisbon’s Civil Engineering programme earned an impressive 9th place in Europe and 43rd in the World, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and research prowess.

Furthermore, in the “National Taiwan University Ranking,” the Civil Engineering programme secured an exceptional 3rd place in Europe, 37th in the World, and 1st place at the University of Lisbon. This achievement reflects the department’s dedication to fostering cutting-edge research and producing high-calibre graduates.

In the “QS World University Rankings” for 2023, the University of Lisbon’s Civil Engineering programme clinched an admirable 29th position in Europe, 51-100th in the World, and 1st place at the University of Lisbon. This is a testament to its unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality education and contributing to advancing the field.

The “SCImago Institutions Rankings,” renowned for its emphasis on scientific research, placed the Civil Engineering department at an impressive 7th position in Europe, 54th in the World, and 1st place at the University of Lisbon. This underscores the department’s remarkable research output and pivotal role in shaping the future of Civil Engineering.

In the “CWUR World University Rankings”, the University of Lisbon’s Civil Engineering programme is ranked 1st in Europe and 8th in the World. This remarkable milestone reflects the department’s dedication to maintaining its position at the forefront of the field.

Additionally, the “U.S. News & World Report’s ranking” for 2023 positioned the Civil Engineering programme at an impressive 2nd place in Europe, 33rd in the World, and 1st place at the University of Lisbon by reinforcing its reputation as a global leader in higher education.
