The following thematic strands have been established to structure the activity of CERIS in 2015-20:
a) Product Development in Civil Engineering Industries;
b) Risk and Safety in Built and Natural Environments;
c) Rehabilitation of Built and Natural Environments;
d) Response to Natural and Societal Changes.
They are anchored in national and EU policy documents, namely Portugal 2020, Europe 2020 and Horizon 2020, and have been selected to meet conditions set on scientific, technical and socio-economic relevance and on enhancement of international cooperation.
