CERIS Seminar “Resilient Coasts: Dynamic Cobble Berm Revetments, High-Resolution LiDAR Monitoring and Wave Overtopping” by Chris Blenkinsopp

We are pleased to invite you to the seminar “Resilient Coasts: Dynamic Cobble Berm Revetments, High-Resolution LiDAR Monitoring and Wave Overtopping”, delivered by Chris Blenkinsopp, Associate Professor in Water and Coastal Engineering at the University of Bath, UK.
📅 26 October 2026
🕥 10:30
📍 DECivil Museum, Instituto Superior Técnico
💻 Online transmission available
Chris Blenkinsopp is a coastal scientist and engineer specialising in coastal processes, hazard assessment and resilience, with research combining field and laboratory experiments, remote sensing and numerical modelling.
The seminar will explore innovative approaches to coastal protection and monitoring, focusing on dynamic cobble berm revetments, remote LiDAR-based monitoring systems and wave overtopping, including research developed in collaboration with the University of Lisbon.
We encourage all CERIS researchers and colleagues to join us, either in person or online.
