LVCT – LABORATORY OF TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURES

LVCT supports the teaching, research, and technology transfer activities related to road and airport pavements, railway tracks, and traffic evaluation. Quality control of soil, aggregates, binders, and bituminous and hydraulic mixtures, as well as development and technical validation of new materials, is the core of the activities. Adding to this, the non-destructive mechanical evaluation of pavement networks as support of maintenance management systems developed or supported by the research group is another LVCT main activity.

Equipment and accessories to laboratory evaluation of mechanical performance of materials: fatigue, strength, moisture sensitivity, rutting, etc.

FRICTION AND ROUGHNESS CHARACTERIZATION OF PAVEMENTS SURFACE

Equipment of non-destructive tests to in-situ evaluation of friction and roughness of pavements surface.
