I started my PhD in Transportation Systems in 2015. Since then I’ve been working on a model to help relocate shared autonomous vehicles (SAV) in urban space, based on past data from taxi trips in Lisbon, Portugal.

The introduction of shared autonomous vehicles in the market has the disruptive potential to impact travel behavior and contribute for a sustainable transport system. A pro-active action will certainly help to shape the right framework to receive this new trend of mobility.

Present research topics: autonomous vehicle; shared autonomous vehicles; shared fleet; machine learning; demand modelling; forecasting.
