Aisha Zulquifal Mamade

Aisha Mamade has an Integrated Master Degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering, with specialisation in Hydraulics. She is currently a PhD student under H2DOC, a doctoral programme between IST and LNEC (National Civil Engineering Laboratory). Her research focuses on the water-energy nexus, particularly the enhancement of the water-use and energy efficiency in urban water systems. She has experience in carrying out energy audits in water utilities through a national initiative for water and energy losses – iPerdas (www.iperdas.org). She is also secretary and young water professional representative of the IWA Strategic Asset Management Specialist Group since 2013.
