On October 27th, CERIS has promoted the 2022 CERIS Day Out which took place outside IST (specifically, NOVA School of Science & Technology, Caparica), in an informal environment, in order to contribute to the conviviality within the CERIS community and thus strengthen their identity.
The program of the initiative was diverse in outdoor activities, including a magic show.

CERIS AT A GLANCE

CERIS – Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability – is an FCT-registered research unit operating in the Civil Engineering area. It is hosted by the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Georesources (DECivil) of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon (ULisboa).

DAVID MARTINS DISTINGUISHED BY THE YOUNG ENGINEER INNOVATION AWARD

The CERIS collaborator David Martins was awarded the 2021 Young Engineer Innovation Award (1st prize), attributed by the Portuguese Engineering Council (Ordem dos Engenheiros), for the research developed in his PhD project regarding the “Seismic behaviour of GFRP structures – Connections, plane and tri-dimensional frames”.
